These Terms and Conditions govern the use of the Ourb mobile application (“Ourb,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) by Customers (ride takers) and Drivers (ride providers). By accessing or using the app, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
1. General Usage
1.1 Vehicle Type
Only four-wheel vehicles with no more than seven seats (including the Driver) are permitted on the platform.
1.2 Service Area
Ourb may only be used within the United States. Usage outside of the U.S. is prohibited.
1.3 Ride Limit
The app is limited to short-distance rides of 30 miles or less.
1.4 Multiple Listings
Drivers must not post duplicate or excessive advertisements for the same ride. Repeated offenses may result in suspension.
2. Account Terms
2.1 Registration
Users must provide accurate and complete information. Falsified information may result in termination.
2.2 Account Deletion
Users may delete their accounts in-app (Settings → Delete Account). Upon deletion:
All personal data and ride listings are permanently removed
Deletion is irreversible
No customer support contact is required
3. User Conduct
3.1 Customer Responsibilities
Customers must:
Verify the Driver’s identity and vehicle before boarding
Confirm trip details (distance, cost, timing)
Behave respectfully during rides
3.2 Driver Responsibilities
Drivers must:
Possess valid insurance, registration, and licenses
Maintain vehicle safety
Accurately describe rides and confirm all pricing
4. Safety, Liability & Technology
4.1 Platform Role
Ourb is a connection platform only. We do not provide rides, vet users, or mediate interactions.
4.2 Risk Acknowledgment
Users agree Ourb holds no liability for:
Accidents, delays, injuries, or misconduct
Payment disputes
Inaccurate or outdated data from users
4.3 Push Notifications & Location Use
By using Ourb, you agree to receive push notifications, including:
Location-based updates (e.g., riders nearby)
Ride reminders and coordination alerts
We use your device’s location to:Show relevant rides and users in your area
Trigger proximity-based safety or communication features
Your consent to access this data is required and can be revoked in your phone settings, though some features may not function properly without it.
5. Content and Behavior Standards
5.1 Prohibited Activities
Users may not:
Post objectionable, violent, fraudulent, or harassing content
Create misleading or spam listings
Violate any local, state, or federal laws
5.2 Moderation System
Includes:
In-app reporting and blocking features
Manual moderation within 24 hours
Permanent bans for repeated violations
6. Communication and Payments
6.1 Communication
All pre-ride communication should occur within the app. Minimal contact details may be shared to support coordination.
6.2 Payments
Ourb does not:
Handle, process, or mediate payments
All payment arrangements are the responsibility of Drivers and Customers.
7. Data Collection and Privacy
7.1 Collected Data
We collect only essential data:
Phone numbers
Ride information
Location (only when necessary for matching or safety purposes)
Notification preferences
We do not collect:
Financial/banking data
Government IDs
Insurance or registration documents
7.2 User Responsibility
Users must not share OTPs, passwords, or sensitive information via the platform.
8. Suspension & Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts for:
Violations of these Terms
Repeated posting of prohibited content
Fraudulent, abusive, or unlawful behavior
9. Legal Compliance
Users are responsible for understanding and complying with transportation and ride-sharing laws in their area.
